PROFESSIONAL SELF-IDENTIFICATION OF THE TEACHER OF PEDAGOGICAL HIGHER SCHOOL: VALUES AND MOTIVATION
Abstracts

Introduction. The need to modernize higher education in Russia does not cause controversy, and the search for effective ways to transform higher education causes a lot of scientific discussions and disputes. Among the wide range of issues related to this topic, researchers are interested in the formation of motivations and va-lues that dominate the minds of modern teachers. The implementation of the professional potential at the university, self-development and self-identification as part of the educational environment catalyzes the process of introducing higher education reforms. Professional self-identification of the teacher, satisfaction with pedagogical activity is a determining vector both for the effective functioning of the educational organization as a whole and for overcoming various crisis situations that accompany any process of modernization.

Materials and methods. Considering the problem of the formation of motivations and values of professional self-identification of teachers of higher education, we turn to the method of sociological survey, which allows you to track changes of various kinds and nature in areas of interest in public life. The opinion of the main actors of the educational process will provide an opportunity to realize the existing realities, to find answers to questions related to the present and future of higher education. Of course, in our studies we refer to the method of analyzing the available scientific literature on the subject under study.

Results. We have analyzed quarterly polls that are devoted to identifying the attitude of teachers to a number of “annoying” factors accompanying the processes of modernization of higher education.

In 2018–2019, we conducted a survey among teachers at peda-gogical universities (South Ural State Humanitarian-Pedagogical University, Shadrinsk State Pedagogical University, Ural State Pe-dagogical University), dedicated to identifying the labor values of teachers with varying degrees of professional self-identification. A detailed description of the results obtained is presented in the article.

Discussion. Effective modernization in the educational environment, in our opinion, depends largely on the psychological attitude of the faculty and the ability to adequately respond to the changes.

Conclusion. Professional self-identity of a teacher of higher pedagogical school - teachers' identification of themselves as part of a university is the key to the effective functioning of an educational organization, recognition of its mission, corporate philosophy. Teachers are informational carriers of the culture of higher education, its values and traditions, image, not only in the period of their professional activities, but also in their previous history. Depending on how the faculty shares the values of its almamater, so much these values are shared by the public.
